Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 12, 2024 – With the school year just around the corner you may be looking for some after school activities for you or your child, and while there are many options, a new option has opened up. For those who want to explore their creative side a little more, take a look at The Creativity Lab of Jonesboro—located in the Historic Berger House.
The Historic Berger House has a history of being a place of creativity and learning, from 1950-1964 it was the Jonesboro Public Library!
In a Facebook post introducing The Creativity Lab the founder, Cara Sullivan, explains, “At the ‘Lab,’ we understand that creativity is the core of human invention, and we want to share the joy, wonder and thrill of learning; asking questions, testing assumptions, and refining outcomes. Creatives are problem-solvers! The most cutting edge thinkers in any field are marked by their creativity: science, math, music, business, medicine, UX design, engineering, and visual and performing arts—you name it!
At the Creativity Lab, students will become comfortable with taking the lead in their own creative journeys! The interdisciplinary approach Sullivan uses to teach her classes truly makes it a unique experience that allows students to apply the knowledge and skills they learned in their art class to their everyday lives.
The Creativity Lab will be offering an after school program and weekly classes this coming fall, adult classes, and art parties!
If you are eager to try a class at the Creativity Lab, Sullivan is offering summer art camps! The next week of classes will be July 15th – 19th for mixed media art. The final week of summer classes will be August 5th – 9th for a freestyle class, to participate in this week your student must have taken at least one class with Sullivan before. All camps are $175 and include supplies and one artwork framed.
