Jonesboro, AR — (Contributed) — March 26, 2025 — Education nonprofit The Reform Alliance will feature the Arkansas Department of Education Office of School Choice and Parent Empowerment at town hall-style meetings in Jonesboro and Walnut Ridge next week.
These meetings, part of a statewide tour postponed due to snow in February, include a discussion of all K-12 educational options – public, private and nontraditional – with information about how to access these different school environments, as well as an opportunity for attending families to engage with Q&A.
Stops include:
- 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, Craighead County Library, Jonesboro
- 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, Lawrence County Library, Walnut Ridge
There is no cost to attend and food will be provided for all guests who RSVP. Guests can find the full tour schedule and RSVP for any location here.
Whether families are considering moving between public school districts, curious about free public charter schools, or want to know more about the expanding Educational Freedom Account (EFA) program and how to use the funding it provides for private school or homeschool, these events will offer useful information to help make decisions about this fall.
“Our goal is to ensure families know everything that is available in their local area so that they can choose the best educational environment for their child’s specific needs,” said Emmy Henley, managing director of The Reform Alliance.
