Shelby Jean Johnson, 85, of Paragould, passed from this life on October 15, 2024, in the comforts of her home.
Shelby was born on December 13, 1938, in Corning, Arkansas to Orley Lee and Ethel Maude (Newingham) White. She devoted many years to Monroe Auto Factory before she retired. Shelby was a faithful member of The Rock of NEA in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a kind and beautiful woman who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Morgan Johnson; daughter, Debbie Jean Johnson; grandchildren, Brian Lee Johnson and Spencer Swindle; and siblings, Larry White and Dorothy Dunlap.
Shelby is survived by her children, William and his wife Felicia Johnson, Pam and her husband Terry Nance; sister, Pat Dunlap; grandchildren, Jeff Carson, Josh Carson, Matt and his wife Lila Cook, Amanda and her husband Tim Mathis, Samantha and her husband Travis Burton, Chris and his wife Jamie Johnson, and Ashley Brown; great grandchildren, Whitney and her husband Hunter Bowers, Madison Nettles, Shelby and her husband Nick Hayes, Katlyn and her husband Blake Denning, Jason Mathis, Jacob Owens, Tabitha Vanover, Chance Mathis, Ty Cook, Gyllian Carson, Jordan Vanover, Emma Debow, Karlee Mathis, Jaleigh Johnson, Piper Cook, and Everett Brown; and many loved great great grandchildren; other relatives, Jeremy Brown, James and Sandra Johnson, Jerris and Pat Miller, and Maria Cook.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Josh Carson, Chris Johnson, Matt Cook, Jason Mathis, Tim Mathis, and Chance Mathis. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Brown and Jeff Carson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Mitchell Funeral Home.
