UPDATE: The warning has been extended to 9:45 a.m. CST by the NWS.
Craighead County – JonesboroRightNow.com – The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded the severe thunderstorm from a watch to a warning. The warning is in effect until 9:15 a.m. and includes Craighead and Poinsett Counties.
The locations impacted by the warning include Jonesboro, Trumann, Bono, Lake City, Lepanto, Bay, Brookland, Monette, Caraway, Greenfield, Black Oak, Hergett, Delfore, Apt, Valley View, Macey, Hatchie Coon, Gum Point, Farrville, and Lester.
The previously issued severe thunderstorm watch includes 10 counties in east Arkansas, including Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, and St. Francis. It will remain in effect until 2:00 p.m.
