Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 22, 2024 – Jonesboro Police were called to the intersection of Main and Johnson on Wednesday night for a pedestrian reportedly hit by a vehicle.

The dispatch log states that a third-party caller said there was a “person laying in the road” and later stated “person is completely still in road.”

Police and EMS arrived on scene to render aid to the 51-year-old male victim.

Eyewitnesses told JRN that the subject had been walking “diagonally” across the intersection from Dollar General to the gas station when he was hit by a white Honda Odyssey headed westbound on Johnson. Witnesses also stated that the subject appeared to be carrying a jug of milk and a bag of groceries as he was walking.

The victim was taken to St. Bernards where his condition is unknown.
