Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A sensory-friendly viewing area will be available for the 78th annual Jonesboro Christmas Parade.
According to a Facebook post from the Jonesboro Christmas Parade, the area is on E. Jackson Avenue just before it intersects Main Street.
The area will have blankets, noise-cancelling headphones, sensory toys, ADA parking, and more. It will also have two enclosed buildings with seating and soft lighting for those who might be overwhelmed.
The buildings will have windows, and their doors can be left open or closed. The post encouraged those who need to use the buildings to adjust them to their comfort level.

To access the area, enter from Church Street onto E. Jackson at the Evolve Bank drive-thru. The ADA parking is also along E. Jackson Avenue.
Anyone who would like to use the space should arrive after 5 p.m. For those needing to leave early, volunteers will guide people to an exit route on Church Street.
“It’s Christmas,” parade coordinator Heather Talley previously told JRN. “At times you are coming together with your community and friends, we’re excited to make that accommodation.”
The parade will be on Dec. 5 from 7-9 p.m., running from north to south along Main Street and ending on Oak Ave. Main and Church streets will close at 1 p.m. that day for parade preparation.
