Mr. Ronald Jarrett of Colt departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his home, at the age of 75. He was born April 27, 1949, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Edward Jarrett and Dora Locke Jarrett. Ronald worked at Halstead’s for many years. He also worked at a gas station and on a farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and liked to clown around some. Ronald loved spending time with his family and was a Christian man. He married Faye Cheney on June 24, 2000, and they enjoyed 24 years together.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie Lee Jarrett and Tommy Jarrett, a granddaughter, Brigette Easter, and by a wife, Catherine Jarrett. He is survived by his wife, Faye Cheney Jarrett of the home, two daughters, Lisa Jarrett of Harrisburg and Misty McGuire and her husband James of Harrisburg, one son, Clay Melton of Wynne, a sister, Anna Teague of Jonesboro, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be in the Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marc Jarrett, Ronald Raines, Donnie Raines, Devon Jarrett, Bobby Forrester, and James McGuire.
