Robert Clifton James, 65, passed away on November 25, 2024, at his home in Paragould, Arkansas, where he resided for the past 32 years. He was born in California on May 11, 1959. He was a U. S. Army veteran where he flew Cobra Helicopters.
He met his wife of 37 years while they were both stationed at Ft. Ord, CA.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita (Bonnie) James of Paragould; one son, Robert James of California; two daughters, Nila James of Jonesboro, AR, and Leann James of Paragould, AR; two grandaughters, Hailey James, Emily James of Jonesboro; three grandsons, Tanner James of Iowa, Elijah Mitchell of Jonesboro, Spencer James of Paragould; mother, Nila Briggs of Wagner, OK; two sisters, Lora Sanchez of Siloam Springs, AR, Mistie Hance of Pea Ridge, AR; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George James of CA; brother, Doug James of AR; and stepfather, Jack Briggs of Wagner, OK.
He loved to work on cars, going trout fishing, and shooting guns. When not doing one of those things, he could be found sitting in his recliner watching TV. That was another one of his great loves. He loved his family and held each one of them dearly in his heart.
Cremation will be handled by Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, AR. Services have yet to be determined.
