Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 3, 2025 – Registration for the 8th annual Oasis Arts and Eats Festival begins Monday for artists and vendors, so don’t miss your chance to join in the fun.

As a collaborative effort between the Foundation of Arts, the Downtown Jonesboro Alliance, the Arkansas State University Department of Art + Design, the Jonesboro Radio Group, and the NEA Artist Collective, this event is the largest and most established art festival in Northeast Arkansas, according to the Oasis Fest website.

The festival will be held on April 26 from noon to 6 p.m. in downtown Jonesboro.

This event is open to any skilled artists or craftsmen who wish to apply. All varieties of original visual art may be displayed and sold; however, no third-party selling will be permitted. Each participant will be given a 10-foot square space and must provide their own tables, easels, or any other set-up equipment deemed necessary.

Set up will be from 10 a.m. to noon and art will be exhibited outdoors along Main Street and other parts of downtown. The area will be closed to traffic.

In the event of bad weather, the event will be moved to April 27 from noon to 6 p.m.

The event will showcase musicians, local restaurant vendors, and kid-friendly activities. Location assignments will be determined and announced after the application deadline. Maps will be provided in advance.

To apply, go to Artists | Oasis Arts and Eats. The committee will review applications and notify artists with more details; however, applications will not be reviewed until a registration fee is submitted. These fees vary by date submitted, which include:

  • Early Bird Registration (from Jan. 6 to Feb. 28) is $50 for adult artist registration and $30 for high school artist registration.
  • Regular Registration (from March 1 to March 31) is $75 for adult artist registration and $30 for high school artist registration.
  • Late Registration (from April 1 to April 11) is $100 for adult artist registration and $30 for high school artist registration.

Non-profit organizations are also invited to participate for free, but they must be approved by the Oasis Committee.

In addition, any restaurants and catering operations in downtown Jonesboro and the surrounding region are welcome to apply. However, as this is an outdoor event, it is up to the vendor to provide their own setup, including all tables, tents, generators, cooking equipment, etc. Main Street business vendors can choose to be directly in front of their stores or stay inside their storefront.

Festival goers can vote on their favorite restaurant. While restaurants do not have to offer samples of their food, it is highly encouraged in order to become a Crowd Favorite. In order to be included on the event map and be eligible for voting, restaurants must pay the fee and turn in their registration by April 11.

The winning restaurant or food truck will receive an on-air advertising package from the Jonesboro Radio Group ($750 value) and one full page ad in an FOA playbill ($125 value).

Fees can be paid online on Oasis website, over the phone at 870-935-2726 or in person at The Forum Theater Box Office.

For rules and applications, go to Food Vendors | Oasis Arts and Eats. The committee will review applications and notify vendors with more details. The last day to apply and the deadline to guarantee your spot on the event map and advertising is April 11.
