Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 26, 2025 – The Starbucks located on Red Wolf Boulevard is set to close at the end of the week, according to multiple reports.

The Starbucks, located at 2303 Red Wolf Blvd., is set to close Saturday, according to NEA Report. The Starbucks website lists the location as continuously closed starting Sunday.

The Arkansas Times also reports that the Red Wolf Boulevard location is set to close at the end of business hours Saturday, and that a location in Paragould, Jacksonville, and North Little Rock will be closing.

“While I don’t have specifics on locations, I can confirm that we’ll have signage up and an e-mail to notify customers. As a note, represented (unionized) status is not a factor when we consider whether to close a store,” Starbucks media relations member Sam Jefferies told JRN via email.

According to the Starbucks website, in Jonesboro, the coffee chain also operates storefronts on Southwest Drive, E. Johnson Avenue, as well as inside Kroger, Target, and on the Arkansas State University campus.

The closures are part of a nationwide effort, Back to Starbucks, led by Starbucks CEO and chairman Brian Niccol, which will close about 1% of the company’s stores.

“During the review, we identified coffeehouses where we’re unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don’t see a path to financial performance, and these locations will be closed,” Niccol said in a blog posted to the company’s website on Sept. 25.

Niccol went on to say in the blog post that coffeehouses scheduled to close would be notified this week, and the company would work to offer transfer employees to nearby locations where possible.

“For those we can’t immediately place, we’re focused on partner care including comprehensive severance packages. We also hope to welcome many of these partners back to Starbucks in the future as new coffeehouses open and the number of partners in each location grows,” Niccol said.

The blog post said the fiscal year will end with the company operating nearly 18,300 locations across the United States and Canada, with plans to increase the number of coffeehouses in fiscal year 2026.
