Azuda/Walnut, CA — (Contributed) — April 17, 2025 – Arkansas State track and field’s Jacob Pyeatt broke his own school record in the men’s 10,000 meters on Wednesday at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running 28:28.50 to place 14th in his heat.
Devyn O’Daniel moved to sixth in school history in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase on Wednesday, running a time of 10:59.81. In the men’s steeplechase, freshmen Evan Stevens (9:04.11) and Brett Jacobs (9:32.48) registered career-best times.
At the Mt. SAC Relays, Colby Eddowes leads the decathlon through the first five events, totaling 4,094 on the day.
Eddowes posted a time of 10.73 in the 100 meters before finishing first in both the long jump (7.28m/23-10.75) and high jump (season-best 2.01m/6-7) portions, while throwing a career-best 12.38m (40-7.5) in the shot put and running 49.26 in the 400 meters.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Olivia Walter opened competition in the women’s 10,000 meters, placing 13th with a career-best 35:20.33.
A-State continues competition Thursday at Mt. SAC and the Bryan Clay Invitational, while also competing at the Leopard Invitational hosted at the nearby University of La Verne.
