Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Court documents state that a trio of suspects cut security cables and fueled lawn mowers right in front of the Jonesboro Lowe’s before police intercepted their escape in a box truck last week.

Dispatch received a call on Feb. 12 regarding two individuals attempting to steal equipment in front of the business. According to the affidavit, the suspects were seen cutting security cables and pouring gas into the mowers to prepare them for transport.

When the suspects failed to fully sever the cables, they reportedly returned to a white box truck to escape. Officers arrived before the vehicle could exit the lot, blocking their escape and taking three men into custody:

  • Kemar Kentrell Coleman, 28
  • Daquan William Greene, 29
  • Ladavion Devonte Wonsley, 27

The trio appeared before Judge Barbara Halsey on Feb. 17, who found probable cause to charge each of them with the following:

  • Criminal mischief – 1st-degree/property of another w/value of $1,000 or less (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Possessing instruments of crime (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Criminal attempt (Class C felony)

If convicted, each suspect faces up to 12 years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

Coleman and Wonsley bonded out Feb. 13, according to staff at the Craighead County Detention Center. However, Greene continues to be held on a $50,000 cash/surety bond as of Tuesday.

All three men are scheduled to be back in court on April 23.
