Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 28, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Ginny Weasley: Ginny is a one-year-old, two-month-old orange and white tabby. She’s on the smaller side and has been in the shelter for nine weeks. She’s up to date on shots and preventatives. Ginny’s a staff favorite because she’s chatty, friendly, and active!
Meet Whopper: Whopper is one of the “candy pups,” and she’s six months old. She’s black with white markings and has been in the shelter for around five weeks. She weighs 26 lbs., is HW negative, and is up to date on all of her vaccines and preventatives. Whopper is affectionate and energetic, and she’s ready for her furever home!
