Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 19, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Batgirl: Batgirl came to the shelter three weeks ago with her sister, Catwoman, and her mama, Super. She’s only six weeks old, but she’ll be ready for a second kitten shot and a new home soon! She’s a domestic shorthair, and she’s cute as a button!
Meet Whopper: Whopper is one of our “candy pups.” She and her litter came in a month ago, and she and her sisters, Nerds and Snickers, are still available for adoption. She’s 25 weeks old, a medium-size lab mix, and up to date on all of her vaccines and preventatives. Most importantly, she’s as sweet as her name suggests!
