Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 12, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Penguin: Penguin is a black and white, large male cat. He’s one year old and a domestic shorthair. He’s been in the shelter for two weeks, but he’s already a staff favorite because he’s so friendly! He’s also handsome and healthy and ready to go home!
Meet Londyn Bailey: Londyn is a 5-year-old female mix. She weighs 57 lbs. and is heartworm negative. She’s been in the shelter for one month, but she’s already made a lot of friends — she and Zelda are playmates, and she loves interacting with staff and volunteers. She’ll make some family a wonderful addition!
