Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 31, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Teddy Swims: Teddy Swims is a 7-month-old male who has been in the shelter for 20 weeks. He’s a blonde mix, heartworm negative, and weighs 61 lbs. In addition to being very handsome, Teddy is affectionate and playful, so he’s a staff favorite!
Meet Bertha: Bertha is a brown tabby domestic shorthair. She’s nine months old and has been in the shelter for seven weeks. She came in with a cold but is all better now. She likes to cuddle in blankets and flirt with Oscar, the shelter office cat.
