Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Dory: Dory is a female Rottweiler mix who only weighs 60 lbs. Through no fault of her own, she’s been in the shelter for over a year. Dory is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and great with kids! She’s four years and 10 months old and affectionate. She’s great with other dogs but prefers calmer playmates.

Meet Daphne: Daphne came to the shelter three weeks ago with her brother, Benedict. She’s a female domestic shorthair who’s about 11 weeks old. She’s up to date on vaccines and preventatives, but she hasn’t been spayed yet because she’s too tiny! Daphne is playful and sassy, and she loves people, so she’s looking for her furever home!
