Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Sonny: Sonny is a 6-year-old male shepherd mix who’s been in the shelter for 3 weeks. (He’s the daddy of Cher’s adorable lab mix puppies!) He’s up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and while he’s heartworm positive, he’ll be treated at the shelter, at no charge to adopters. He’s a little shy at first, but very sweet and friendly once he warms up! He’s already been neutered and microchipped, so he’s ready to go!
Meet Aqua: Aqua was in a litter of kittens dropped off at the shelter about 8 weeks ago. About 12 weeks old now, Aqua is a female domestic short hair and is up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. She’s friendly and playful with both people and other cats, and she’s ready for her furever home!
