Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — Aug. 4, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Sol: Sol is an 8-month-old, domestic shorthair male cat. He came in with his litter about two weeks ago. He’s up to date on all of his vaccines, and he’s got four white “socks.” Sol is one of our favorites because he’s so affectionate and friendly!
Meet Mo: Mo is a 2-year, 1-month-old male and is a medium-sized mix at 49 lbs. He’s heartworm positive but has begun treatment. He’s already been neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on all of his vaccines and preventatives. In the shelter for seven weeks, Mo is “talkative” and gets along well with other dogs and people!
