Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Paragould sex offender is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond after police said he failed to abide by his reporting requirements due to having multiple unregistered accounts on his phone.
Norman Alsup, 70, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Detention Center on May 27, according to the online jail roster.

The probable cause affidavit states that on May 27, Alsup reported to a detective’s office for his sixth-month verification. During the process, he reported having no email addresses and no social media accounts. However, a consented search of his phone revealed that he had active, unregistered email, Facebook, and Messenger accounts.
Alsup is being held on one charge of failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements – refusal to cooperate with the assessment process.
