Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 16, 2024 – One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:34pm Thursday afternoon.
Jonesboro Police patrolman Carma Butler says Jose Ramon Garza, 29, Jonesboro, had been traveling West on Highway 18 (East Highland) in a 2007 Ford Explorer when he attempted to make a left turn onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and failed to yield for an Eastbound 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Ricky McCallie, 35, Manila.
Butler said Garza was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. McCallie was taken to NEA Baptist Hospital where his condition was unknown.
