Destin, FL — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 18, 2025 — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it will be ending active search operations for 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger of Jonesboro, who went missing last week.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post it would be concluding “active search operations” for Trinity at the end of the day Wednesday after an “extensive six-day search in the Destin East Pass and surrounding Gulf waters.”
“While we will never stop hoping to bring Trinity home, we are now beginning the process of scaling back dedicated resources. Deputies will continue to patrol the area as part of regular operations,” the sheriff’s office said.
Trinity was last seen on Thursday, June 12, around 7:30 p.m. near the Destin East Pass. Since her disappearance, multiple state and local agencies, along with volunteer organizations, have searched for her by air, land and sea.
“Our hearts are heavy, and this is not the outcome anyone hoped for,” said Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden in the Facebook post. “We are deeply grateful to every agency, volunteer, and community member who gave their all in this search. Our thoughts and prayers are with Trinity’s family during this unimaginable time.”
The search area spanned approximately 250 square miles, covering the south end of Choctawhatchee Bay, the East Pass and into the Gulf. More than 40 dives were conducted during the search, the sheriff’s office said.
The United Cajun Navy said on Facebook it was continuing to search for Trinity and remained in “open communication” with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Emerald Coast United also said it was continuing the search.
The following organizations assisted in the search:
- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)
- United States Coast Guard (USCG)
- Eglin Air Force Base
- Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
- Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office
- Alabama Florida Helicopter Patrol

Trinity is the daughter of Wesley Eslinger and Raven Cush. Cush is in a relationship with Victor Cobbs, known locally as popular DJ “King Vick,” who provides mobile DJ services across the area and also hosts afternoons on Jonesboro Media Group’s Hot 107.5 radio station.
Over the weekend, King Vick posted a nearly hour-long video providing details of the family’s vacation to Destin, FL, and a timeline of events leading to Trinity’s disappearance.
Friends of Cush and King Vick started a GoFundMe for the family on Saturday, June 14, to help the family with expenses in Florida during the search. At the time of publication, $67,260 had been raised. Click here to donate.
“Our Jonesboro Media Group family wraps our love around King Vick, our friend and colleague, Raven and their families,” said Trey Stafford, President/General Manager of the Jonesboro Media Group.
