Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – The Northeast Arkansas Humane Society (NEAHS) on Friday held a ceremony unveiling its new website and logo to the public.
The shelter worked with Savannah Nordhaus to create the new logo, which NEAHS administrative director Amy Schmidt said better reflects the region and the animals the nonprofit serves. The new logo is green, teal, and orange, and features a dog, cat, and horse, which Schmidt said informs people that the organization also cares for equines.
“The logo reflects what we are, who we are and what we do, and what we think is important,” Schmidt said.

The website has been redesigned to easily direct users to the donation page and information on how to adopt animals.
“There’s also a lot more information about us, what to do if you find a lost pet, about our low-cost medical clinic, about volunteering, about fostering. There’s so much more information on it than there was our old website,” Schmidt said.

The new logo and website have been in the works for about a year, Schmidt said. Nordhaus provided the services at no charge to the animal shelter.
In addition, merchandise with the redesigned logo is being rolled out. Stickers with a cat, dog, or horse are available, as is a shirt highlighting the nonprofit’s equine work. Schmidt said this was chosen due to the organization’s upcoming Ride, Race, Rescue Barrel Bash fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 9-10.
“We appreciate the community support, and we do try to turn around and return it with things like, low-cost vaccines, the food pantry,” she said. “We’re excited about a new chapter.”
