Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 12, 2025 – A North Little Rock man has been accused of severely beating another man to the point of requiring major surgery.
Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge 36-year-old Timothy Williams with one count of 1st degree battery on Wednesday.
On Jan. 11, Jonesboro Police were sent to an address in the Garden Manor Apartments regarding an assault that had already occurred. The victim told officers he’d been beaten and was bleeding from his face.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim underwent surgery to place three metal plates in his skull and face, due to the victim having a fractured skull and orbital socket. The victim was told by medical staff he would have permanent blindness in his left eye, the affidavit said.
A JPD officer put together a photo lineup on Jan. 31 and the victim identified Williams as the person who beat him. The officer received the victim’s medical records from the hospital to confirm the injuries.
Williams was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond. He is to have no contact with the victim and must wear a GPS ankle monitor. Williams’s next court date is March 20.
