Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 26, 2024 – With the New Year upon us, now is the perfect time to look for local events to keep you entertained as we head into 2025.

Dec. 29:

Join NEA Divine Intervention as they celebrate recovery at its 2nd annual Sobriety Ball. This will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro, 710 Southwest Drive.

This year’s theme is “Masquerade,” but even if you don’t have formal year, you can still come as you are. This event is open to everyone. There will be a $10 entry fee, which includes free food and drinks. It will also feature karaoke, a 360-photo booth, dancing, and lots of fun.

Dec. 31:

The Craighead County Jonesboro Children’s Public Library will be hosting its Noon-Year’s Party for kids aged kindergarten through third grade on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Round Room of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, as part of the library’s Winter Staycation.

The New St John Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting a New Years Eve Church Service on Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the New St John Missionary Baptist Church, 308 North Main St.

Huntington Square’s New Year’s Eve at the Porch will be Tuesday from 7-10 p.m. at The Porch. This event will be rocking in the New Year with Hank Nightshade.

Dec. 31 through Jan. 1:

The Hijinx New Year’s Eve Celebration will begin on Tuesday at 1 p.m. and continue through Wednesday at 1 a.m. at Hijinx, 3102 Shelby Drive. They will have something for everybody with a Kids Glow Party from 1-3 p.m., a Seniors Party from 4-6 p.m., and The Countdown Glow Party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Native Brew Works will be hosting a Happy New Year event on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and then a Hangover Brunch on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Native Brew Works. Join them for “happy new beer” and toast to the new year while they play last year’s ball drop at 8 p.m. They will close at 9 p.m. as normal on Tuesday.

Huntington Square’s New Year’s Eve at the Lounge will begin on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. with a jazz quartet. After a short break from 9-10 p.m., the space will turn into a ticketed 1920s style event from 10 p.m. through 1 a.m. on Wednesday at The Lounge, 313 W. Huntington Ave. Tickets are $25, with the event featuring food, fun and dancing. Patrons are strongly encouraged to come dressed in their best 1920s attire as they dance into 2025. Jan. 1:

Skinny J’s New Year’s Day Brunch will be serving their full brunch menu on New Year’s Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Skinny J’s in Jonesboro. This will feature brunch favorites, live music from Dalanie Taylor starting at 11 a.m., and lucky plates to bring some extra good fortune to 2025.
