Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A new outdoor recreation space is coming to downtown Jonesboro, developers Ted and Amanda Herget with Math Investments announced Thursday.

The space, to be located on Cate Avenue, will feature a green space, amphitheater, beach volleyball courts and a dog park, a news release from Math Investments said. A more detailed description of the space’s features is below:

  • Multi-use amphitheater: For live performances, community events, and outdoor gatherings
  • Beach volleyball courts: Designed for casual games
  • Dog-friendly park: Features shaded seating and open areas for play
  • Landscaped green space: Features lounge seating and gathering areas surrounded by trees

The release said the project is part of an effort to expand downtown Jonesboro’s amenities and promote economic and social vitality. Construction is expected to begin soon, and the project’s estimated completion is in summer 2026.

“Our goal is to create spaces that encourage connection between people, their community, and the outdoors,” Ted Herget, founder of Math Investments, said in the release. “This project is about enhancing downtown’s livability while giving residents and visitors more ways to enjoy being in the heart of Jonesboro.”

Martin Smith of Ecological Design Group designed the project. The news release said the space “blends modern architecture with natural surroundings to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere.”
