Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 3, 2024 – For Options on Main, Jonesboro’s Pregnancy Resource Center, the letters ICU mean something a little different than what you may think.
ICU Mobile is the name of their Ultrasound clinic on wheels. Think of it as “I See You” or “Image Clear Ultrasound.”
In September 2023, ICU Mobile rolled into Jonesboro and opened its doors to its first expecting mom. Since September, ICU mobile has provided 54 Ultrasounds to NEA expecting mothers.
ICU Mobile was fully funded by private donors through Options on Main. When entering the unit, the expecting mother receives a pregnancy test, pregnancy counseling, and an ultrasound. Before leaving, she can receive helpful resources about local pregnancy healthcare and insurance options available to her.
Executive Director, Deb Coots explained that the goal of the ICU mobile is to “Mobilize care in our community. When it comes to reaching a woman in an unplanned pregnancy, we must GO to her!”
You can find this Mobile Ultrasound Unit parked in front of Food Smart each Tuesday in Jonesboro. All services provided by Options, including the Mobile unit are completely free to any expecting mom.
