Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 25, 2025 — NEA Divine Intervention is aiming to bring various recovery industry options to Northeast Arkansas during its first-ever Recovery in the Streets event in September.

It’s not just about mental health, NEA Divine Intervention executive director Shalinda Woolbright said the organization wants to come together to share resources and network.

“We want every organization that offers any type of recovery services to participate,” Woolbright said. “I’m talking about diabetes associations, counseling centers and associations, HIV/AIDS associations, whatever any type, even if they are doing counseling because that’s some type of rehabilitation, even if they are offering jobs.”

Woolbright added that organizations dealing with substance abuse recovery, mental health disorders, cancer, heart and lung diseases and more are some of the organizations she’d like to see at the event.

Woolbright said she felt this would give people the chance to meet with all the different recovery avenues.

“We’ve got A-State and ASU-Newport… that’s an avenue because you’re trying to build something and trying to get something new,” she said. “Then we’ve got the plasma center, workforce, the Red Cross and … there is so much that NEA has to offer to help people recover and grow.”

Registration for recovery vendors is free, Woolbright said; however, they are asking vendors for a $25 donation. The donation is not required to participate.

Woolbright said they are also still looking for more food trucks. Food truck registration will be $115 without electricity or $130 with electricity.

Along with vendors and food trucks, this free event will feature live entertainment with D.J. Cornelius Lovelace and musical artist and rapper Matt Keegan, as well as bounce houses and activities for kids.

“[Keegan]’s really good. Especially for those who are in recovery,” Woolbright said, noting some of his music, such as “The Price of Addiction,” a song with more than 100,000 views on YouTube. “He talks about addiction and the 12 steps, and all that type of stuff and he’s pretty well known on TikTok too.”

Recovery in the Streets takes place Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union Street Pavilion in downtown Jonesboro.
