Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 11, 2024 – A mother and son were charged with multiple drug trafficking charges, including fentanyl, on Friday.

Jonesboro police set up surveillance Oct. 9 at a residence on Glenn Place. Officers observed 31-year-old Treveis Davenport pick up his mother, 48-year-old Fayerita Sills. Officers knew the vehicle had unconfirmed insurance, Davenport had a suspended license, and Sills had bench warrants for her arrest regarding two fentanyl delivery charges.

Officers conducted a traffic stop, taking Davenport and Sills into custody for the warrants and driving on suspended, respectively. A handgun belonging to Davenport was found in the vehicle.

Sills reportedly denied giving a key to her home, so officers forced their way in.

Inside, officers found a reported stolen firearm and suspected fentanyl pills in Sills’s room. In another room, officers found “several mason jars with marijuana” and a reported stolen rifle.

Upstairs, officers found several plastic baggies with pills and two plastic containers with a white substance later identified as cocaine, as well as another rifle. Several baggies and scales were found throughout the home.

Officers field-tested the different pills, of which 9,490 tested positive for fentanyl. They also recovered 614 Oxycodone pills, 441 Xanax pills, 769 grams of marijuana and 52.6 grams of cocaine.

Davenport is charged with trafficking fentanyl, two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, offenses related to records, possession of Schedule VI drugs with purpose to deliver, theft by receiving, driving on suspended license and no proof of liability insurance.

Sills is charged with trafficking of fentanyl, two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, offenses related to records, possession of Schedule VI drugs with purpose to deliver, theft by receiving firearm less than $2,500 and possession of firearm by certain person/prior felony.

The two were given a court date of Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m.

Davenport’s bond was set $1 million cash-only with a GPS ankle monitor.

Sills’s bond was set at $3 million cash-only with a GPS ankle monitor.
