Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 21, 2024 – A Monette man was found with drugs and firearms on Friday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a Jonesboro police officer noticed the man make a left-hand turn without using a turn signal. When the officer ran the plates, it showed the driver had no insurance.

The officer conducted a traffic stop, during which he noticed two guns in the back of the car. The officer patted the man down for weapons and then the officer searched the vehicle. While searching the front passenger seat, the officer found a black box with two grams of suspected marijuana.

The officer then searched the man, during which 1.2 grams of suspected meth was found in his right pant leg. Another gun was also found in the car.

The man is charged with one count of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, one count of possession of meth or cocaine less than two grams, one count of possession of Schedule VI drugs less than four ounces, no liability insurance and improper lane change.

The man was given a court date of Dec. 20 at 8:30 a.m. and a bond of $25,000 c/s.
