Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 15, 2025 — Meet Me On Main is an initiative by the Jonesboro Media Group, parent of Jonesboro Right Now, and First Horizon Bank – located in the historic landmark building at Main Street and Washington Avenue at the unofficial entrance to downtown Jonesboro.

A section of Main Street was closed Sept. 25, 2024, due to concerns about the safety of the former Citizens Bank building across Main from First Horizon.

The building was condemned, demolished and the lot and streets around it improved. Main Street reopened May 13, 2025, much to the excitement of downtown business owners, operators and downtown residents.

JMG and the First Horizon Foundation are promoting and supporting the downtown businesses with a series of articles. The articles will be published each Thursday for the next several weeks. In addition, there will be promotion efforts on JMG’s six radio stations each Thursday. JMG and First Horizon urge you to visit and support these businesses.

This week’s featured business: Starz Boutique

Starz Boutique will have a day of giveaways, discounts, special vendors and more to celebrate the store’s upcoming grand opening, kicking off its “refreshed, rebranded and better than ever,” era.

“There’s nothing like it in Jonesboro,” owner Rebecca Richmond said. “We’ve been working really hard to stand out, trying to be different.”

Richmond described the boutique as an “independent business salon.” Outside vendors such as estheticians, jewelry makers, and small businesses will hold shop inside Starz, making the boutique a unique communal marketplace.

“People can meet and have their own business,” Richmond said. “So, if a girl does lashes or if she does facials, she can come in. We have somebody coming in who is licensed to sell sorority merchandise. We have people vending out of here, like a lady who does unique shaped candles. We have somebody who is going to sell cookies in here.”

Business owners will have a private suite with personal access codes, a back bar for cleaning, a washer and dryer provided and more.

For customers, the new Starz location will have selfie walls. One wall features hand-painted cherries and bows, a popular design seen frequently on social media.

Customers can look forward to a variety of events at the grand opening, with the first forty customers in line receiving swag bags.

Another unique feature of Starz is that it will make boutique deliveries.

“We’ve teamed up with someone who does cookies and the Generations Floral Company, so we’ll be making deliveries,” Richmond said. “That’s something no other boutique does. We have a minimum of $50 and then we charge for gas.”

Stars Boutique carries sizes extra small to 3X. The boutique also carries children’s clothing starting at a newborn size and has a small men’s selection.

“We have a ‘70s to 2000s vibe,” Richmond said. “We’ve got unique clothing, it’s not going to just have what everybody’s having. We just want to serve everyone, every body. We’ve got stuff for the moms, the younger girls, the plus-sized girls.”

The grand opening will be on May 24 at 2 p.m. at 311 S. Main St. Even after the event is over, the deals will go on all week long.

“We’re going to do something all week from Saturday to Saturday, just in case people miss it because of Memorial Day weekend,” Richmond said. “You won’t miss us that week.”

A portion of the Meet Me On Main promotion effort is being provided by First Horizon Foundation, the private, charitable foundation of First Horizon Corporation. Founded in 1993 to serve the communities in which First Horizon operates; the Foundation has donated more than $150 million across the First Horizon footprint.

The grants are invested in a way that responds inclusively to community needs and promotes progress and prosperity across these impact areas: arts & culture, education & leadership, environmental sustainability, financial literacy, and health & human services. The Foundation has awarded nearly a quarter million dollars in Northeast Arkansas over the last few years.
