Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 29, 2025 — The date and location have been set for May’s Neighborhood Cleanup.

City residents can drop off unused items from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Scenic Hills Neighborhood. This is behind Annie Camp Junior High School, located at 1814 W. Nettleton Ave.

City staff will be on-site to help load items into dumpsters, according to a news release from the City of Jonesboro.

Accepted items are listed below:

  • Clothes
  • Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
  • Basketball goals
  • Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
  • Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
  • Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed, and any residue must be dry)

Jonesboro residents can also bring glass to be recycled. The city will not accept the following items:

  • Yard waste/limbs
  • Tractor/semi tires
  • Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
  • Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces are accepted, however)

If unable to make it to the cleanup, Jonesboro residents can drop off glass at the City Incinerator, located at 2650 Lacy Drive from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Saturday drop-off will remain available during Daylight Saving Time, which ends Nov. 2.
