Margaret Lydia Thompson, 75, was promoted to heaven on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born in Weslaco, TX, and grew up in Donna, TX. She graduated from Donna High School in Donna, TX, and attended Pan Am University in Edinburg, TX. She loved singing to the Lord. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, crosswords, and find-the-word puzzles.

 

Margaret is survived by her sister, Pauline “Polly” Mangum and three nephews, Jason Mangum (Gloria) of McAllen, TX, Nicolas “Nick” Mangum of McAllen, TX and Charles E Thompson of Virginia Beach, VA, her brother’s widow, Elvia (Martinez Thompson) Vidaurri (Ramiro) of Corpus Christi, TX and five grandnephews, Noah Mangum, Nathan Mangum, Rangler Mangum, Cole Mangum, Elisha Mangum all of McAllen, TX and uncle, John W Palko of Ft Worth, TX and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E and Lydia Margaret Thompson, Sr., and two brothers, Paul E Thompson, Jr and George E Thompson of Donna, TX.
