Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 18, 2024 – A Tyronza, AR man was charged with his fourth DWI and speeding on Friday.

On Oct. 16 around 7 a.m., an Arkansas State Police trooper clocked a white pickup truck going 98 miles per hour in a 75 mph zone on I-555. The trooper conducted a traffic stop, where he smelled a “strong odor of intoxicants.”

While reviewing the man’s documents, he told the trooper he’d drank a pint of vodka the night before. The trooper conducted a field sobriety test, of which the man failed. He was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center for further testing. Two breath samples resulted in a .09.

The man has three DWI convictions from 2015, 2019 and 2024. He has two more pending from June and October of 2024.

He was charged with a 4th DWI, one count of speeding and one count of driving on a suspended license with a DWI.

He was given a court date of Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m. and a $20,000 cash-only bond. Conditions of the bond are GPS and alcohol monitors, and the man is not allowed to drink and drive.
