Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – April 4, 2024 – District Judge David Boling found probable cause Wednesday, April 3, to charge a Jonesboro man with multiple felonies and misdemeanors.
Marcredus Green, 28, is charged with aggravated residential burglary, a class Y felony, second-degree domestic battery, a class B felony, aggravated assault on a family or household member, a class D felony, first-degree stalking, a class C felony, first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, a class D felony. Green is also charged with the following misdemeanors: first-degree interference with emergency communication, violation of a protection order and theft of $1,000 or less.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Green climbed into the window of him and his ex-girlfriend’s 1-year-old’s bedroom on Thursday, March 28, and went into the living room where the woman was with the baby, according to a probable cause affidavit by Detective Jeremy Wheelis, Green then began hitting the woman and the baby. The woman said Green dragged her around the residence while she was holding the baby.
After two hours of attacking her, the victim said, Green got a towel, wiped up the blood in the residence and left with the towel.
When officers arrived, they saw multiple injuries to the victim and the baby. The woman was bleeding from her head, a swollen left eye, broken fingernails, a gash on her inner lip, bruising around her neck and was sore all over, according to the affidavit. The infant had a bump on her left ear and a swollen and red left cheek, officers observed.
The victim had a no-contact order against Green, she said. Police discovered that Green had previously been involved in a domestic dispute and stalking with another victim.
Boling set Green’s bond at $150,000 and, if released, is required wear a GPS ankle monitor. Green’s next court date is May 24 at Craighead County Circuit Court.
