Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – February 23, 2025 – The Junior Auxiliary of Jonesboro Charity Ball has been called Jonesboro’s biggest annual gala. A real “big boy, big girl” prom night. The 54th Charity Ball was held Saturday night at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Red Wolf Convention Center.
The Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary chapter was founded in 1950 with 3 service projects. Those projects were funded by the first Charity Ball, which raised $217.36 and a fashion show, which raised $307.31.
Today the chapter has 12 working service projects, over 90 active and provisional members and over 300 life and associate members. The only fundraiser for the organization is Charity Ball, which is now routinely raising over $150,000 a year to fund their projects.
Charity Ball chair Kelsey McFadden said the theme for this year was based on Alice in Wonderland. “Through the Looking Glass: A Mad Gala” was this year’s theme.
Trey Stafford (Jonesboro Media Group, morning show co-host 104.9 The Fox) and daughter, Ellie Smith (Jonesboro Media Group, midday show on Mix 106.3 and evening host on 104.9 the Fox) served as emcees for this year’s event.
