Lucille Dillard, 78, of Paragould, passed away on November 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation in Jonesboro. She was born to the late Lonnie Leo Dillard and Iola Owens Dillard on May 12, 1946, in Trumann, Arkansas.
Lucille is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon Harold Callahan. She was the mother of two sons, Allen (Patricia) Dillard of Walnut Ridge and David (Becky) Dillard of Paragould. Two stepsons Scott Callahan and Jason Callahan. Lucille was a devoted and loving mother, always putting her family first. She was especially proud of her three grandchildren, Samantha (Daniel) Raska, Kristy (Cody) Ward, Tyler Dillard and step grandchild, Preston Callahan. Also leaving behind four great grandchildren, Kiley Raska, Anna Raska, Zane Ward, and Maya Ward, whom she cherished dearly.
Survivors include a brother, Lonnie R. Dillard; a niece, Leanna (Blake) Lawrence; nephew, Lonnie Dillard, Jr.
Preceded in death by her father; Lonnie Leo Dillard, mother; Iola Owens Dillard, sister; Minnie Pearl Olson and husband Leon Harold Callahan.
Lucille was known for her kind and gentle spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Lucille attended Light Church of Christ for many years. After shutting down, she attended Pine Knott Church of Christ. Throughout her life, she maintained a deep and unwavering faith in the existence and power of God, finding comfort in her beliefs during difficult times. She appreciated Pat Lenderman and Gary (Connie) Grimes for always being there when she needed a way to church.
Lucille will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. May she rest in peace.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Croft Cemetery.
