Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 3, 2025 – The location for the first Neighborhood Cleanup of the year has been set.
City residents can drop off their unused items from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Llamados Por El Rey, located at 3307 Race St. City staff will be on-site to help load items into dumpsters, according to a news release from the City of Jonesboro.
Accepted items are listed below:
- Clothes
- Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
- Basketball goals
- Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
- Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
- Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed and any residue must be dry)
In addition, Jonesboro residents can also bring glass to be recycled. If you can’t make it to the cleanup, you can also drop off glass at the City Incinerator, located at 2650 Lacy Drive from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The City will not accept the following items:
- Yard waste/limbs
- Tractor/semi tires
- Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
- Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces are accepted, however)
“Thank you residents for stepping up in participation, and to the City’s Code Enforcement & Sanitation Departments, as well as the Keep Jonesboro Beautiful Commission for working together to keep this trash off our streets! It takes us all, and together, we can continue to keep Jonesboro clean and green,” the news release said.
