Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 19, 2025 – The wintry weather has caused several local government offices, organizations and clinics to close on Wednesday or open late.

Local Government Closures and Delays:

The Jonesboro City Hall and City of Jonesboro non-essential city services are closed on Wednesday. This includes sanitation pick-up.

JET (Jonesboro Economical Transportation) Services buses are on a three-route schedule for Wednesday. No stops will be excluded but there will be a longer route time. Find the three-route schedule at JETS LIMITED bus routes or call 870-935-5387 if needing assistance.

Complimentary rides to any warming centers are still available when they are open. If you need transportation to a warming center or the Salvation Army outside of JET business hours, call the Jonesboro Police Department’s non-emergency phone number at (870) 935-5553, and they will make alternative arrangements.

Other government offices closed on Wednesday include:

  • Brookland City Hall
  • Craighead County Department of Human Services
  • All Craighead County courthouses and county offices. However, essential services, such as the Road Department, Sheriff’s Department and Detention Center will be open.
  • Offices for the City of Monette

Additionally, the Craighead County/Jonesboro Public Library and the Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center will be closed Wednesday.

Local Clinic Closures and Delays:

Some St. Bernard Urgent Care locations are closed due to the winter weather, including the locations in Paragould, Manila and Kennett. The Jonesboro locations on Red Wolf Boulevard and Parker Road opened late at 8 a.m.

A few NEA Baptist Urgent Care locations have been closed including Blytheville Urgent Care, Brookland Urgent Care, Osceola Urgent Care, Trumann Urgent Care, Windover Urgent Care, and the Woodsprings Urgent Care.

The following NEA Baptist Urgent Care locations are operating under a temporary change in hours. The changes are listed below.

  • Hilltop Urgent Care – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Paragould Urgent Care – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Main Clinic Lab on E. Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro – opened at 8 a.m.
