The clinic, scheduled to run daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., focuses on the core principles of Clinton Anderson’s Downunder Horsemanship Method. Designed for both riders looking to sharpen their skills and equine handlers seeking to establish clearer communication with their animals, the daily schedules will alternate between structured groundwork and intensive riding exercises.

The foundational program aims to enhance safety, build mutual trust, and improve performance across a wide range of equine disciplines.

In an effort to promote proper horsemanship techniques across the region, L&M Stables is opening its gates to the general public. Organizers welcome community members, aspiring riders, and agricultural student groups to audit the sessions free of charge.

Spectators will receive a front-row view of the step-by-step training techniques, providing a learning opportunity for those not participating directly with a horse.

Saturday’s programming is structured as a wider community event. Wicker BBQ will operate an on-site food truck during daytime hours, offering real-smoke barbecue, refreshments, and desserts to attendees, auditors, and visitors.

Following Saturday’s training blocks, the arena will transition into a social venue. Beginning at 6 p.m., L&M Stables will partner with Coast Line Dance to host its first-ever barn dance. The evening event will open with structured line dancing lessons, ensuring attendees of all experience levels can participate before open dancing continues into the night.

Dust off your boots; admission to the dance floor is open to all community members looking to join the festivities.
