Bono, AR – Contributed – Lighthouse Education Cooperative has been awarded a $5,000 Mini Grant from the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas to support its Campus Safety Initiative.

The funding provided three new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), which were installed across campus in April. These devices will allow trained staff to respond immediately in the event of a cardiac emergency.

Lighthouse serves students with unique learning and developmental needs, many of whom face increased medical risks. These new AEDs ensure critical, life-saving equipment is available on-site when time is most important.

According to Lighthouse, the initiative will strengthen existing safety efforts, including CPR-trained staff, emergency drills, and an active campus safety team. The organization added that it expects the AEDs to benefit students, staff, and all who spend time on campus.

The Lighthouse Education Cooperative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families of children with autism and other developmental needs. For more information about Lighthouse, visit their website.
