Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – In celebration of Earth Month, the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is partnering with Keep Jonesboro Beautiful throughout the remainder of April to distribute litter kits with a set of litter grabbers to community members, encouraging the Jonesboro community to take an active role in keeping their neighborhoods clean.

Community members can pick up litter kits, along with the companion book “Otto the Otter and The Great Arkansas Mystery” by Keep Arkansas Beautiful, during two outreach days at the library. A table will be set up on Wednesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where staff will be available to provide materials and answer questions.

Litter kits will also be available for pickup at the library’s circulation desk while supplies last.

“We’re excited to get these kits into the hands of people who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference,” said Keep Jonesboro Beautiful coordinator Beverely Parker. “If you’re planning to use it, we’d love for you to take one, every small effort helps keep our community looking its best. Just be mindful so there’s enough to go around for others who are ready to pitch in, too.”

This initiative supports a shared goal of fostering community pride, responsibility, and environmental awareness throughout Jonesboro during Earth Month and beyond.

The library is located at 315 W. Oak Ave. For more information about the library, visit its website, Facebook page, or call 870-935-5133.
