Lavinia Louise Thrasher Holt, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital. She was born March 7, 1941, to Cleo and Eva Thrasher.

She was a member of the Church at Paragould where she attended faithfully and loved to worship and sing. She loved working with children, which she made evident by teaching Sunday school, working at church camps, teaching at a Christian School, and working at Greene County Tech. As a single mother in her earlier years, she took pride in being the epitome of a giving heart, loving mother, and providing for her three sons. In 1976 she married Preston, and with his three daughters, together they built a life they loved. Her endless love and selfless qualities were evident in her actions toward all people from the youth to the elderly. Her smile and hug will forever leave a lasting memory for everyone who knew her.

Lavinia was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Eva Thrasher; son, Terry Blevins; daughter, Margaret Grooms; grandson Josh Grooms; and brother, Rudy Thrasher. Survivors include her husband Preston Holt of 48 years; two sons, Tim Blevins of Phoenix, AZ, and Roger (Cindy) Blevins of Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Liz (Chuck) Staires of Rockford, IL and Sharon (Bill) Cole of Paragould, AR; two sisters, Carolyn Hayes, and Teresa(Phillip) Hayes,of Paragould; two brothers, Gary (Isador) Thrasher of Leachville, AR and Kenny (Jo) Thrasher of Paragould, AR. 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Mitchell Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Church at Paragould on Thursday, May 2, 2024, beginning at 1:00 pm with her pastor, Reverend Chris Bass and her nephew, Reverend Darren Thrasher officiating. Bural will follow at Linwood Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brent Thrasher, Mark Thrasher, Devon Thrasher, John Heritage, Bill Cole, and Phillip Hayes.
