Bay- Larry Ishmael Cox, 34, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024.
He was born September 23, 1989 in Memphis. He was a 2007 graduate of Bay High School. Larry enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling and NBA basketball. He loved his family and hanging out with his puppy, Lucille.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wayne Cox; grandparents, Jess and Bessie McClaughlin, Elsie Cox and Ishmael Cox and a step-brother, Ben Gordon.
Larry is survived by his mother, Sharon Gordon and step-father, Joe Gordon; his dog, Lucille; step-brother, Jason Gordon (Samantha); step-sister, Joanna Arender (Craig); special friend, Lamar Jennings and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John McClaughlin and Rev. Tim Spann officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon McClaughlin, Ruben Fowler, Josh Barnett, Mike Dickens, Audie Cox and Robert Redd and as honorary pallbearers, Lamar Jennings and William Dedman.
