Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 12, 2024 – There is a large police presence on the east end of Jonesboro near the intersection of Red Wolf and Highland. Police tell JRN that there is reportedly a barricaded suspect in a house with a weapon. Unknown if there is anyone else in the home.
The entire Fairview Addition subdivision (Dayton, Fairview, Fairfield, Brazos, etc.) is closed to thru traffic at this time. Police, Fire, and EMS are responding along with the Hostage Negotiation Team. Please avoid the area.
The neighborhood homes surrounding the area are being evacuated at this time.
