Keith E. “Bear” Weatherford went peacefully from this Earth into God’s hands, 7:26pm on Friday, February 2, 2024. He can rest now. Keith worked hard all his life from the time he was 8 years old. He knew farming, trucking, and riverboating.
Keith was born to Gene and Martha Weatherford in Paragould at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center on April 16, 1957. He lived and worked in many cities and states.
He and Donna loved having folks out to eat at their home. Keith was a great cook, and no one could beat his fried catfish. Everyone agrees with that.
Keith was preceded in death by his dad, Gene Weatherford; brother, Tracy Franks; and step-son, Billy C. Hyde.
He is survived by two sons, Jason Weatherford and Jessie (Erica) Weatherford; his life-mate of 20 years, Donna Cozart-Hyde; daughter, Barbara “LeLe” (Chuck) McGee; eight grandchildren, Kody (Chloe), Emily (Daniel), Jathan (Saige), Olivia (Kyler), Mikee (Paisley), Courtney McGee, Sammy McGee, and Abby McGee; three great-grandchildren, Anna, Chayson, Oliver, and a fourth on the way.
He loved all his kids and was so proud of them and the things they had accomplished in life along with the happiness brought to him and Donna.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Weatherford; step-mother, Jenny Weatherford; brothers, Mike (Michelle) Franks, Mark (Regina) Franks, Rodney (Diann) Weatherford, and David Weatherford; sisters, Jessica Robson, Tina (Billy) Gray, and Rhonda (Danny) Lamure.
Keith has many family members that include nieces and nephews. His list of friends would go on forever—too many to mention, but they knew who they were.
The family will host a graveside service on Saturday, March 2, 2024, beginning at 2:00 pm at Wood’s Chapel Cemetery in Paragould.
