Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 31, 2025 – A Jonesboro Police Department officer is retiring after working with the department for 25 years.
Lieutenant Lyle Waterworth has worked with city for over 30 years, with his last 25 being with JPD. Before retiring, he served as supervisor of the Real-Time Intelligence Center, a JPD news release said.
In addition, Waterworth worked with the Criminal Investigation Division, was a SWAT team member, school resource officer and public information officer.
“His most enjoyable years were serving as the department’s training coordinator, where he shaped the future of service to the citizens of our great city,” the news release said. “We salute you, Lt. Lyle Waterworth, for your dedication and commitment and wish you all the best in your retirement.”
