Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 20, 2025 — A Jonesboro woman faces a battery charge after reported involvement in a fight at a party on Self Circle.

Police say 28-year-old Nakia Caruthers overheard a conversation through the walls of a neighboring apartment. According to the probable cause affidavit, Caruthers confronted the neighbors after hearing this. 

When they refused to let her in, Caruthers allegedly struck one of the occupants with a bottle. Another victim intervened and was hit in the head with the same bottle, leading to a fight that spilled onto a balcony, breaking a window.

The victim suffered a three-inch cut on her forehead and cheek and was taken to St. Bernards for treatment. Caruthers was arrested and given a $5,000 cash or surety bond. Her court date is set for April 24.

According to online jail records, Caruthers was released from the Craighead County Detention Center on March 18 at 8:59 p.m.
