Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 21, 2024 – A Jonesboro woman has been charged with multiple drug offenses after it was determined she was selling drugs close to an elementary school.
On Dec. 19, the Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Huntington Ave., the residence of 49-year-old Jennifer Smart.
According to the report, officers found a number of drugs in the bathroom: alprazolam bars and pills, plus a marijuana bong.
Twenty-eight grams of meth and 4.8 grams of marijuana were found in the living room, plus a digital scale, plastic baggies for packaging narcotics and two glass meth pipes.
The probable cause affidavit noted that Smart lives directly across the street from a church that hosts AA and NA meetings, and about 850 feet from the Jonesboro Elementary School on Washington Ave.
Smart has been charged with possession of meth with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and a number of other drug charges.
Her court date is Jan. 24, her bond is $250,000 cash or surety. She has to wear a GPS ankle monitor if she makes bond.
