Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 28, 2025 — Officers arrested a Jonesboro woman after they said she attempted to run someone with her car following a fight.
Craighead County Judge David Boling found probable cause June 27 to charge 25-year-old Makaja Tyronika Dority with aggravated assault.
According to the affidavit, on June 25, officers responded to a business on Gee Street for a disturbance. On the way, they were told two vehicles had rammed one another, and people were chasing someone in the parking lot.
They were able to view video from the business that showed Dority driving erratically in a circle in the parking lot following a fight that involved several people. The affidavit stated that Dority’s car was hit in the process by another person who was on foot, and she then tried to run over the person. The car was then hit by another car that tried to stop her.
Boling gave Dority a $10,000 cash/surety and scheduled her next court date for July 31. She’s been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
No mugshot was available on the Craighead County Detention Center website.
